Pin your Poppy project returns

Every year, following the creation of six ‘Tommy’ statues by the British Ironwork Centre, the PCC encourages communities to get creative and pin their poppies at their local police station for Remembrance Sunday.

Your unknown Tommy will be outside Malingsate Police Station until Monday 3rd November.

It's an opportunity for schools, local residents and community groups to pin their handmade poppies and pay tribute to service men and women - past and present. Over the years, schools, knit and natter groups and Scout groups have all taken part.  

When you have made your poppy, when attaching it poppy to a statue, please make sure you add a hook. As the statues are outside, please also make sure your poppies are durable and are able to withstand the winter weather.
